We have had a new club president since January – about time we spoke with him about why on earth he would take on such a job, his goals for his presidency, and how he thinks we’re doing as one of the leading clubs in the nation…it’s our very own Chris Adamski in the hangar!
Hi Richard and Chris! Thanks for doing the podcast. I always listen. I’ve been with the club 20 years, and am mostly behind the scenes. I don’t fly that often, and I worry about not being recognized at the field, so I’m trying harder to mingle with the rest of the members. A club’s success really depends on the strength of the bond among members. I remember the club president of another organization I belonged to back in the ’90s complaining about how getting the members together in meetings was like “herding cats.” Like that club, this one also has a lot of people, like me, who are not naturally people magnet material. So I have to try harder to socialize more.
